Florence [Edinburgh, 2018]

I was introduced to Erica by our mutual friend Catrìona and we became friends. She invited me to her home to take some portraits of her beautiful 16 months old Florence, her youngest daughter. Florence was not only given a beautiful name by her parents, she was also a beautiful child, self-confident and curious. She was shy but not scared and after a few minutes of a wee chat, she became pretty comfortable in front of the camera so that we could easily work together and, at the end of the shooting, there was some big eruptive laughs from her side, also thanks to her super momma’s love and help, plus the beneficial presence of a sweet and careful Ethel (their fluffy doggy!). The vibrant and powerful colors of Florence’s outfits won’t come unnoticed! Thank you Erica & Mark for trusting my artistic capabilities. Enjoy these lovely photo memories dated April 2017!

Eva [Fort William, Lochaber, 2018]

Eva was a cute, attentive, inquisitive and calm baby. She had beautiful, big, deep blue eyes and she was astoundingly cherished by her parents and family who were very much fond of her! A big Thanks to the Cooper family for posing in front of my lens! Enjoy these lovely memories dated March 2018!

Lola [Edinburgh, 2018]

The precise memory I have of 3 years old Lola was of a very cute, tiny, lively, friendly, affectionate ballerina who could become transform quickly into a courageous warrior! She really had the capacity to engage and to lead other people in her games! I immediately had a soft spot for her and I believe that her pictures show pretty well her personality. Enjoy these lovely memories with a big Thanks to super Momma Blandine!!

Girls in the studio [Parma, 2018]

Back to the years between 2015 and 2019, I was heavily interested in studio photography. I have also always liked that photography can bring people together and somehow create a sense of community. I asked the mothers of these young princesses (who belong to 3 different nationalities and all lived in Parma at that time) to take them to the studio and they enthusiastically agreed (the girls were quite driven about the idea too!). The fact that the older girls were together in the same class in primary school helped and in fact the outcome of this session was lovely!

Mattia, Elisa & Mariano [Parma, 2018]

Mattia is lucky, he has a good relationship with both his mom and dad. Although in different ways, his bond with his parents is deep, built upon mutual trust and love and you can notice it in the images below. It was good for me to spend some time with this family and to see them together in a state of ease! Enjoy these memories dated January 2018!

Annasole [Parma, 2017]

This was the third time I had the chance to take some portraits of cheerful Annasole and the second time we gathered at the studio. She was dressed in a stylish outfit and was in a good mood. She seemed to be curious about the lighting in the studio and she wasn’t scared at all with the indoor environment. I believe that she had a good fun there, in the company of her parents Elisa and George! Enjoy these cute memories dated December 2017!

Simone & Samuele [Parma, 2017]

Simone showed this clever, adult and funny personality’s side and was brilliant and quick with the ball, whilst his little brother Samuele seemed to fully enjoy a few hours of freedom in the park! This little one was all giggles and smiles, and intentionally trying to get all of his parents attention! Enjoy these lovely memories dated July 2017. THANK you, Mora family, for posing in front of my camera!

Arianna [Parma, 2017]

I find that a black & white editing often gives to children’s pictures something more than just an extra vibrancy. It seems to me that it allows them “to shine” more, fixing them in time, in a more powerful way than colour photos. I was delighted to observe and to capture Diletta’s family deep bond and their mutual, strong love one for the other. After all, little princess Arianna was the glowy star of the shooting, as expected! Enjoy these lovely photo memories dated July 2017!

Annasole & Emi [Parma, 2017]

Annasole and Emi were born six weeks apart and were totally unaware of the photo shoot we had planned for them. For not knowing each other and being so small, I must admit that their interaction had been quite convincing and above all peaceful! A sincere Thanks goes to Elisa and Tomomi for their openness and for allowing their two little princesses to pose in front of my lens in the beautiful Botanical Garden!

Zeno & Zoe [Parma, 2017]

Spending a couple of hours with kids can be a good mental break: it allows you to stop thinking, as you’ll be totally absorbed in their world, following their games and movements. This is even more the case when it is about these two strong, bubbly personalities! Enjoy this lovely photo-memory dated March 2017!

Alice & Edward [Parma, 2017]

Culling has always been the most painful aspect of the editing process, and it was even harder in this shoot, as I loved dearly almost ALL the shots that were taken in the studio! Alice was just being herself, a gorgeous and exuberant girl, whilst little Eddy was cheeky and cuddly as ever possible! Enjoy this happy family’s photo-memory!
