Annasole & Emi [Parma, 2017]

Annasole and Emi were born six weeks apart and were totally unaware of the photo shoot we had planned for them. For not knowing each other and being so small, I must admit that their interaction had been quite convincing and above all peaceful! A sincere Thanks goes to Elisa and Tomomi for their openness and for allowing their two little princesses to pose in front of my lens in the beautiful Botanical Garden!

Yanet [Parma, 2017]

Yanet was working in the wine industry. She asked me to take some corporate shots of her. The first part was taken in the studio whilst, for the second round, we chose as outdoor location the Botanical Garden, which was at its best at the beginning of the summer. I still remember her being extremely approachable, with a sincere, shy and trusty smile!

Morena & Nina [Parma, 2017]

I have known Morena and Nina since they were little girls as, for a few years, I was their babysitter. In spring 2017 their momma asked me to take some shots of them and I couldn’t wait for it! These girls are not only beautiful, they both also have a strong character, and it always fascinating for me to observe their siblings bond, especially when it works well, as in their case!

Margot [Parma, 2017]

Margot is the mascotte of our neighbors. We have seen her as a puppy when she was at first taken home. At that time she was 2 months old: she had sharp, tiny teeth and was long like one of my shoes. In this photo session, she was 1 year old. Nos she has become a buoyant, noisy, exciting girl. She is not the most obedient, but she is super affectionate and is always seeking for some treats. She is in love with her toys and, on the leash, she pulls like a mule but we love her: she is terrific and is now the soul of the neighborhood! Thank you for posing for me, little girl!

Zeno & Zoe [Parma, 2017]

Spending a couple of hours with kids can be a good mental break: it allows you to stop thinking, as you’ll be totally absorbed in their world, following their games and movements. This is even more the case when it is about these two strong, bubbly personalities! Enjoy this lovely photo-memory dated March 2017!

Annasole & Thier [Parma, 2017]

I was a child in the 90s and I clearly remember how much Oliviero Toscani’s work and advertisements had struck me: the contrast of colors, of cultures that was behind them, with its advertising but also cultural message (the desire to strike, to disdain the audience). I have always admired the versatility and boldness of Toscani, his ability to narrate and to represent real situations from a different, nonconformist angle, using often the linearity of a monochrome backdrop.

In the end, the concept behind this photo shoot was “the contrast”, behind a line of simplicity. I am grateful for this outcome, due in good part to the cooperation of little Annasole (unwitting but cooperative model!), to Thier (who gladly accepted to get involved) and to Elisa (the little model’s mom!).

and now the funny ones (kind of Behind the scenes)!

and with momma!
