Annasole [Parma, 2017]

This was the third time I had the chance to take some portraits of cheerful Annasole and the second time we gathered at the studio. She was dressed in a stylish outfit and was in a good mood. She seemed to be curious about the lighting in the studio and she wasn’t scared at all with the indoor environment. I believe that she had a good fun there, in the company of her parents Elisa and George! Enjoy these cute memories dated December 2017!

Mattia [Parma, 2017]

Elisa, Mattia’s mum, is one of my best friends. It was something for me to see reflected in her 3 years old son some of her personality’s traits. Mattia was a young lively boy, very determined, extremely focused and perceptive. Whilst playing with the ball he was over the moon, as well as being at the presence of his adoring mum! Enjoy these loving memories dated October 2017!

Elena seen by Stefano Cavazzini [Parma, 2017]

I feel honored to consider Stefano Cavazzini as a friend. He is an outstandingly talented photographer (even though he has never worked as a professional). He is also shy and humble. I believe that his work shows a stroke of genius and as an artist, he is a visionary, who goes out quite easily from a “commonly shared path”! His images remind me, somehow, of Francesca Wooodman’s photography. These shots were taken in August 2017, just before I quit Italy for Scotland. When I received them, I was blown away by these results! Grazie, Stefano, for sharing your talent and for your big heart!

Viola & Francesco [Parma, 2017]

Francesco and Viola were both…lively! She was a cheerful cutie pie, all action and with a strong character, whilst he seemed to be more composed, reserved and thoughtful. However, the level of energy they spread around when they were playing together was unique, you can tell! Enjoy these lovely photo memories dates August 2017 and Thanks to Valentina and her young family for posing in front of my lens!

Simone & Samuele [Parma, 2017]

Simone showed this clever, adult and funny personality’s side and was brilliant and quick with the ball, whilst his little brother Samuele seemed to fully enjoy a few hours of freedom in the park! This little one was all giggles and smiles, and intentionally trying to get all of his parents attention! Enjoy these lovely memories dated July 2017. THANK you, Mora family, for posing in front of my camera!

Arianna [Parma, 2017]

I find that a black & white editing often gives to children’s pictures something more than just an extra vibrancy. It seems to me that it allows them “to shine” more, fixing them in time, in a more powerful way than colour photos. I was delighted to observe and to capture Diletta’s family deep bond and their mutual, strong love one for the other. After all, little princess Arianna was the glowy star of the shooting, as expected! Enjoy these lovely photo memories dated July 2017!

Francene [Parma, 2017]

During my career as children’s photographer, I have rarely met a 1 year old baby being S O expressive! Francene was really one a kind! She was not only pretty, funny, cuddled and incredibly loved by her proud parents, but also she became like a young actress on stage, the moment after I took out my camera from the bag! Enjoy these cut and lovely photo memories! And Thanks to the Arellano family for posing in front of my lens!

Boys in the summer [Parma, 2017]

Not having brothers of my own, I was never familiar with the world of young boys however, I was positively impressed when I went at Elena’s (a family friend) compound and had a full immersion in her world! Elena has 5 boys who, back in 2017, when these pictures were taken, were between 17 and 4 years old. I observed a few hours of their rough games “en plein air”, whilst we were having a chat and coffee and I reckon that it was very physical, it could be intense as the boys would bicker easily, but at the same time it was quicker, more immediate and less complicated than young girls play sessions! Enjoy these lovely photo memories! P.S. Some of their snapshots were featured on PhotoVogue, well done, boys!

Agata & Angela [Marore, 2017]

Agata was 2 months old when I met her with her super momma Angela and granny. She was tiny but really present! With her little eyes she would brows around, trying to determine what kind of situation it was. Even though it was a late afternoon of early June, we did maximize the timing of the shooting as it was hot. We were lucky enough to take profit of a gorgeous summer light, fighting a bit to find some shadows. Enjoy this beautiful memory!
