“A sister is both your mirror and your opposite” – Elizabeth Fishel

I have known Morena and Nina since they were little girls as, for a few years, I was their babysitter. In spring 2017 their momma asked me to take some shots of them and I couldn’t wait for it! These girls are not only beautiful, they both also have a strong character, and it always fascinating for me to observe their siblings bond, especially when it works well, as in their case!

Alice was dressed in a classic, perfect way and her eyes were really showing out her genuine soul! I enjoyed this photo session as the subject was feeling comfortable and perfectly fitting into the environment. Some of these shots, especially those edited in black and white, remind me of an early 20th century imperial princess…

Arianna was tiny and expressive. Dressed up in her pink-princess-coat, she was in a good mood, willing to be taken in photos and curious about the new environment, the Botanical Garden, which proved to be a topnotch location!

Spending a couple of hours with kids can be a good mental break: it allows you to stop thinking, as you’ll be totally absorbed in their world, following their games and movements. This is even more the case when it is about these two strong, bubbly personalities! Enjoy this lovely photo-memory dated March 2017!

Culling has always been the most painful aspect of the editing process, and it was even harder in this shoot, as I loved dearly almost ALL the shots that were taken in the studio! Alice was just being herself, a gorgeous and exuberant girl, whilst little Eddy was cheeky and cuddly as ever possible! Enjoy this happy family’s photo-memory!

Lorenzo had such a privileged relationship with both of his parents! It was a privilege for me to acknowledge it in with of my camera!

Ami and Giulio did not know each other, their moms did not know each other, but I knew their moms. I knew that if I asked them to bring their kids to the studio they would be happy. And they were indeed. It was something to observe how two children who had never met each other before, also thanks to their uncomplicated and playful nature, were able to stand together, to play and to have fun together in front of the camera. And the outcome was anything but obvious!! Thank you Francesca and Tomomi for sticking to my plan!

I have known Elena almost all my life and it has been a pleasure to see her family grow in number…to reach the number 5! Yes, 5 boys!! In the below pictures, you will see 2 of them, Pietro and Emanuele, with the super-speedy appearance of Riccardo who was not exactly in the mood for being photographed that day. And besides all, with a mum like theirs, fun is guaranteed!

After a few moments of hesitation, Simone fit in the studio atmosphere massively well. He clearly had a soft spot for his little brother Samuele, who seemed instead to enjoy a lot of free space around him… even though, when Simone approached him, he then would suddenly try to squeeze him and kiss him! A caring mamma Francesca and a mighty nonna Rossana accompanied these two little princes to their portrait session and we framed them in a few photos!

This family seemed so perfect and they were so well-prepared for their shooting, that you might think they were taken from a tv advert! Thank you, Olga & Co, for coming to the studio!

Arianna wasn’t intimated by the studio (or maybe just the first 3 minutes!). She was into every.thing that was happening. These candid shots reflect her personality. It was a pleasure to experience the bond between her and her parents!

The 1st session you have in the studio can be challenging. Based on my experience with kids, less is more. After a few “serious presidential” headshots (with his super cute red bowtie!), Luigi was delighted to play with a clothes peg, which was of course a good solution to gain his attention!

I had the pleasure to have Zeno and Zoe in the studio for a lively portrait session! The were gorgeous and the outcome was successful. Thanks to mamma Cate, who brought the appropriate toys-distractions!
